The CNT members employed by Mercadona are now into their 75th day of a strike. The Workers Solidarity Alliance asks all comrades, regardless of affiliation, to aid these strikers.

The CNT members employed by Mercadona are now into their 75th day of a strike. The Workers Solidarity Alliance asks all comrades, regardless of affiliation, to aid these strikers.

For those of us outside Europe, Mercadona is a supermarket supply company
(  http://www.mercadona.es/corp/ing-html/empresa.html). The srikers work at the main distribution site.

The company has a customer service email system set up. We suggest that comrades send solidarity with the workers to this site:  http://www.mercadona.es/corp/ing-html/atencion.html
or write direct to: Mercadona, S.A., Calle Valencia, #5, Tavernes Blanques, Valencia - CP 46016,Spain.

Continued solidarity emails and financial donations to the CNT may be sent as follows:

For up to date information (in Spanish) go to:  http://www.cnt.es/mercacoso/home.php

Help these workers win this fight! They shall not stand alone.

Yours in solidarity,

Workers Solidarity Alliance

not decrepit

The building in Russell square is not decrepit, it is the poshest squat I've ever seen, and it is home to London Noborders, which is one of the most active groups in the UK in support of migrants and refugees... for instance we organised the 8th April demo against detention @ Harmondsworth / Colnbrook, with 3 coaches leaving from near Russell square and around 300 people attending -probably the biggest UK demo against detention centres in recent years, except for the one at Dungavel during the G8. I very much doubt without a social centre we would have been able to build a demo like that.

One thing social centres are good for is building resistence / solidariety, come to resist the eviction from Friday morning!

Well get some public money not likely ie asking for reforms ie the goverment, council, paternalistic charities is working with the state so you betray your principles, thats what you get from confused liberal anarchits(impossible cos autonomous and get london no borders to do a fundraiser for the Spanish / migrant / workers, you cant runaway with autonomous .....
