Direct Action info + planning night in Sheffield

Lifelong Bloodfeud | 17.06.2006 09:38 | Climate Camp 2006 | Anti-militarism | Climate Chaos | Ecology | Social Struggles | Sheffield

Oh, the long summer stretches ahead of you, weeks and weeks of hot days and nothing but Big Brother on tv. If only there was something better to do with your summer... something effective, positive and fun.... something like DIRECT ACTION.

Sort out your summer next Thursday with a night of information about and planning for direct action. The night will focus on 4 major campaigns:

- The anti-Shell campaign in Rossport, Ireland
- Anti-dam activities in the wilds of Iceland
- Peace actions in Faslane, Scotland
- The all-singing, all-dancing Climate Camp, in England later this summer.

There'll be a person involved with each campaign talking about it, but more importantly, providing the information you need to know to get involved. How to get there, what to take... safe.

Additionally, there'll be literature from other campaigns, including animal rights, and vegan food. Maybe even cake.

So that's 7.30, Thursday 22nd June, Matilda Social Centre, 111 Matilda St (down past G*******her).

Pete, Lea and Lisa, or blockading, vegan slop and sexy foreign activists? YOU DECIDE.
