Europride
Central London
Europe.s largest LGBT festival is set to be held in London for the first time. More than half a million people are expected to turn out for a massive parade down Regents and Oxford Streets with over 80 floats with soundsystems and all that malarky. For politicos there'll be speakers in Trafalgar Square, everyone else will be mash up in Soho somewhere. www.pridelondon.org

Ken's often sadly souless anti-racist festival back in Finsbury Park (formally Respect until Galloway nicked the name). Last year say Suggs and Billy Brag taking to the stage for the finale to perform Bob Marley covers badly. I've never seen a sadder spectacle.

If you're not familiar with the festival, it's Bristol's best-kept secret - a fantastic outdoor festival held every summer featuring.....
Two outdoor stages featuring the best of local bands with national headliners to finish.
The WKD Bigger Top featuring souly, funky, hip-hop, jazzy bands.
The Colston Hall Global marquee featuring a unique mix of modern and traditional music from around the world.
A Performing Arts marquee featuring dance, poetry, comedy and theatre.

Last year was ok, very well behaved and not enough music/entertainment, but not bad for kids, they seem to have blagged Arrested Development onto the line up this year so we'll be there.

Liberty London's Disability Rights Festival

"Liberty is a major one day outdoor festival that champions the rights of disabled people and celebrates the work of innovative disabled artists and performers. Aimed at everyone, Liberty 2006 features an exciting mix of live music, arts and dance as well as family workshops, stalls and displays, and an organic café."
