Placard Amnesty Update
Ian Blair | 10.06.2006 18:15 | Repression | Social Struggles | London
Prior to the amnesty placards were just dumped, where a child might pick them up
Placards deposited at Scotland Yard, waiting to be made safe
Placards can be handed in to any police station in London
Just a handful of the arsenal of invective taken off the streets so far

I heard that people turning up at Parliament Square were not checking if their placard conformed to Police Chief specifications. In consequence the Houses of Parliament has had to employ fifty more cleaners to pick up discarded placards from mostly law abiding citizens who just dumped their placards. This might have just been some delusional satire. I had been drinking.
