A fantastic event which I am sure all animal lovers will want to visit.

The circus proudly boasts ‘entertaining’ acts including: -

Canadian Brown Bear
Llamas
Zebra
Camels
Dogs
Pigeons and many more

Keyworth is 7 miles south of Nottingham City centre and buses run regularly from the Broadmarsh bus station

BOYCOTT THE CIRCUS JOIN THE PROTEST

09.06.2006 21:02

Any real animal lover will not want to visit any circus that has captive, performing animals. Circus have been condemned by many reputable organisations for their inherent cruelty training the animals and keeping them cages for months on end.

I for one are calling a boycott, join me in the protests.

Jolly's Circus Protests?

11.06.2006 15:51

If you are organising a demo let us know and we'll spread the word. Don't protest alone - this circus threatened violence recently at Mountsorrel in Lecicestershire.

JollyWatch, who track this circus, have recorded evidence of camels left out in the rain near a pub at closing time, a zebra roaming on frozen and exposed hill and filmed despicable conditions at their Craven Arms HQ. They have also received reliable information of animals kept without water, and a bear kept in dreadful conditions. In 2003, Animal Defenders photographed Ming, a captive black bear, on tour with Jolly's, kept in the cage in the back of a lorry.

Jolly's Circus - Southwell, Notts protests?

Peter Jolly's Circus, the last circus in Britain to have a performing bear will next be performing at Southwell Rugby Club, Park Lane, Southwell from Wednesday 21st June until Sunday 25th June.

An image of Ming the bear in a 'exercise' cage is too big to forward with this message (1.2meg), but is available at  http://www.veggies.org.uk/calendar/jolleys_ming.jpg

If you are organising a demo let us know and we'll spread the word. Don't protest alone - this circus threatened violence at recent protests at Mountsorrel in Lecicestershire.

Southwell about 10 miles west of Nottingham City centre and buses run regularly from the Broadmarsh bus station.

protests?

I agree that some circuses are maybe inhumane but to be honest as long as they are ones which do treat the animals properly then i dont see what all the fuss is about. It is one of the only real ways children can see animals like this close up and not on a tv screen. Surely u could find something more worthwhile to protest over, no?

d gamble

seriously if you knew anything then you would realise that animals are not badly treated at all. I have worked on them and seen lots and there is nothing wrong. If you so called 'animal rights campaigners' have such sad lives and nothing better to do with your time then i feel sorry for you. are you complaining about the people who have 20 cats in a bedsit? No i didnt think so. So maybe you should try and get your facts right before you go making up shit about other people.
