The infamous Jemaah Islamiyah leader, Abu Bakar Bashir, is soon to be released after serving only twenty-six months of his thirty-month sentence for conspiracy in the Bali bombings (that killed over two hundred innocent civilians). The Australian Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer, was quick to make a statement to the press lamenting Australia’s helplessness in the circumstances. Downer’s pathetic statement was designed to distract the world’s attention away from the steaming Indonesian Turd in John Howard’s face! We recall Howard ‘caving in’ over the West Papuan refugee issue and the insults levelled at him (from Indonesia) at that time.
Unfortunately we are also reminded of the cowardice and paralysis of the Howard government to protect its citizens abroad, I refer to David Hicks, Schapelle Corby and the so-called Bali nine. If any other nation or rational person comes to the conclusion that Australia’s leadership lacks backbone or just simply the character required to stand on principles, could we blame them? Never in the proud history of this nation have so many pathetic spineless cowards risen to leadership – déjà vu Bush administration – and that is NOT a coincidence!
John Howard now stands resplendent with an Indonesian ‘Turd’ in his face, and there is no avoiding that hard reality. We would also remind our ‘fearless government’ of the five Australian journalists slaughtered at the hands of the Indonesian military (in cold blood) in nineteen seventy five on the then Indonesian controlled East Timor. We also note the lack of courage exhibited by the AFP chief, Mick Keelty, in bringing those responsible to trial; but we did note his very eager kowtow-ing to Indonesian authorities in surrendering nine young Australians to those barbarians to face a possible death penalty. As Herman once said, I am reaching for my ‘pistol’, enough is enough!
The gutless local population has a spineless government of which it can truly be proud, Howard is doing Australia’s international reputation ‘wonders’ – if you’re happily holidaying overseas and people spit in your direction, do not wonder why! The local media might not cover the obvious but I assure you the overseas media has no such restrictions, the world’s lowest-coward-leader is fair game for their presses – especially in Asia, the emerging powerhouse of the world.
In conclusion, we would add to the above, the recent ‘hoo ha’ regarding the nuclear issue and all the media it has received. The real issue is simple, but you will note the spin applied by the Howard propagandists and that accommodating Howard mouthpiece, Tony Jones; the reality is that Indonesia is undertaking the construction of a nuclear plant in central Java and Australia is following suit – regardless of any other pretence both nations are constructing the means to produce nuclear weaponry. We would only add that Australia should already possess the latest weaponry, as it has had the skill-base for decades. The delay was/is the result of ‘brave’ leadership, as usual!
There is nothing more to add except running for leadership in Oz on the platform of jailing Howard, his front bench and the lackey bureaucrats that worship him, would be a sure winner – any takers because there is no viable opposition at the moment?
