Nottingham Climate Camp planning meeting

The time to act is now! | 08.06.2006 18:02

All invited!

Tuesday 13th June, at the Sumac Centre, 245 Gladstone St, Forest Fields, Nottingham. For directions see  http://www.sumac.org.uk

The Camp for Climate Action will be happening from 26th August till 4th September this summer. The government is failing and unable to take real action on climate change, and we can not sit back and see our planet go up in smoke!

It hopes to be a focus and a catalyst for the growing grassroots movement against climate change in this country. It will bring together thousands of people who are concerned about climate change, and all the many campaigns in this area. There will be hundreds of fascinating and informative workshops on all the issues around climate change: from the science behind climate change to permaculture and direct action. The camp also aims to take radical action against cliamte change - both from the camp, and encouraging people take action back in their normal lives. It will also aim to show a few of the sustainable alternatives to our consumer society today.

MEETING TUES 13th June 7.30PM @ SUMAC CENTRE
This meeting is aiming to provide information for all those people from Nottingham thinking on going on the camp. We will also be discussing how you can get involved - everyone has something to offer! All welcome!
