US student living wage activists speak in London, Friday

Brie Phillips and Diane Foglizzo from the US student Living Wage Action Coalition will speak in London on Friday about how to build student-worker solidarity and fight for a living wage on our campuse, as the final part of their week-long speaker tour of UK colleges.

Diane was a student activist at Georgetown University, and was an organiser and hunger-striker during the Georgetown Living Wage campaign.

Brie was active in organising around farmworker rights with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers and the Student/Farmworker Alliance through the victorious Taco Bell Boycott. She was the US national co-ordinator for the Student/Farmworker Alliance

When they speak in London Brie and Diane will have already spoken at Sussex, Oxford, Sheffield, York, Leeds and Lancaster, as well as at the NATFHE demonstration in London.
