Whatever happened to the 'Indy' in Indymedia?

I was under the impression that Indymedia existed to allow an independant forum for people to exchange views on a wide range of issues they feel are important to them.
Several of my postings have recently either failed to appear at all, or have mysteriously dissappeared like a dissident under Pinochet. I assume this is because I do not always share the popularist anti-globalisation, anti-authoritarian, anarchist viewpoints that make up the majority of the postings on the site.
Yes, yes, I know that you say the site is "to contribute news stories only", and "In order to keep the newswire concise, we will hide uploads which are discriminatory, infactual," etc etc. But this statement does not seem to apply to postings deemed by the Indymedia 'powers that be' to be favourable to the mainstream Indymedia philosophy.
FREE SPEECH NOT PRACTICED BY INDYMEDIA MOGULS! A newsworthy headline I think. Let's see if it sees the light of day. Put your principles where your delete key is!
