Why does Indymedia UK engage in censorship?

I am a non-corporate, non-commercial graphic artist who has had a number of articles 'hidden'. even though they relate to news that is currently in the press.
I originally started posting to Indymedia UK because a friend at Australian Indymedia (Melbourne site) suggested that I do so.
I have never had any of my graphic comments censored in any other country in the world - except for in the UK.
Now I have been censored by both the Indymedia and the Propeace web sites in your country. Why?
My graphics fall within the Editorial guidelines as they are topical.
They are original and produced by a non-profit and non-commercial entity.
People all around the world – including in the heartland of America – are allowed to enjoy these very same satirical graphics – but for some reason sites in the UK practice censorship.
Is this common in your country? It wouldn’t be tolerated in Aus.
I am now hesitant to post any more material to this site for fear that it will be ‘hidden’ (which is just a euphemism for ‘censored’)
Have a look at the graphic material in question either on my site ( the only sane ape in the pack) or on the American site Gather.com. and tell me if these images are offensive or funny? Do they deserve to be censored?
(But you probably won’t even have the opportunity – this article will probably be ‘hidden’ so as to protect you from seditious ideas.
