4 people are currently locked on in front of the Mexican Consulate in London, in solidarity with the people of Texcoco, Northern Mexico who have been experiencing severe government repression over the last 2 days.
4 people are currently locked on in front of the Mexican Consulate in London, in solidarity with the people of Texcoco, Mexico. They have been there for over one hour and the road has been closed and a number of police are present. The activists are waiting to hear whether the Mexican Ambassador is willing to come and speak to them about what is happening in Northern Mexico where the people of Texcoco have been experiencing severe government repression for the past two days.
On the afternoon of May 3, Subcommandante Marcos of the EZLN (National Zapatista Army of Liberation) announced during a public act in Mexico City a new red alert and closure of Zapatista caracoles and suspension of activities of La Otra Campaña, which has now become a struggle to support the people of Texcoco.
