BPP leader retires after electoral thrashing

S'long | 06.05.2006 00:59 | Anti-racism | Culture | Repression

Bye.

The appalling Eddy Morrison, leader of the British People's Party, has announced his retirement from extreme right-wing politics after thirty-eight years of white nationalism and racism.

Morrison, a confirmed Hitlerite and long-time supporter of John Tyndall, stood in the local government elections yesterday in Bramley, Leeds, mustering up 135 votes (2.7%) despite conning an old lady into signing his nomination papers by pretending he was collecting signatures for a petition to save a local shopping centre.

BPP are the heart of the BNP

It is sad how so many are now voting for the BNP. Even some Jewish people see the BNP as a good option. What they do not realise is the truth behind what the BNP really stand for because they keep their mouths shut in public and in the media.

However the BPP dont so one can learn about the BNP from the BPP

BPP

If any of the brain dead of the anti fash who think they are fighting the rise of the far right in Leeds would think just a little. Morrision has been a Police informer for decades. The idea of setting up the BPP was to divide the BNP and take members of them. Also to put a number of candidates against the BNP by the BPP to spilt the vote and stop the BNP gaining seats. The BPP is a state creation which was to be used as a weapon against the BNP. It has failed because all they attracted was cast offs from the BNP. Morrision and his special branch handlers have done this before in the past by geting Morrision to set up rival nationalist parties to split the votes of the nationalists. It is ironic how the anti fash in Leeds spent their time trying to destroy a group which was formed to counter the rise of the BNP. Every one in the BNP are aware that the BPP is state run and would not touch it with a twelve foot pole, a fact which seems to have past by the the anti fash in Leeds.

CRAIG

Morrison a State asset???

Sorry, I don't see that. Who the hell would employ Morrison? He could hardly be described as a State asset, could he. Shome mishtake shurely (hic).

'It will be interesting how many members the bpp will retain due there imitable split [about 3 ]'
Be fair - there's Steve Smith's dog too. It's a fully paid up member (and better looking than Smith).

You must be joking....

Yeah, Morrison would happily sell his 'comrades' details to pay for his Boss Super, but to call him a 'state asset' is a bit of a joke isn't it?

a) He's completely incompetent and unreliable... good tout material, but hardly dependable to do the state's work, or anyone else's for that matter.

b) If his claims to have been assaulted by anti-fascists in Leeds are true, which is in itself debateable, then if he is a state asset, why did the cops not do anything about it?

c) If the BPP was set up to divide the BNP vote, then why would the state go to all that trouble, only to have the solitary BPP candidate being a hapless discredited egomaniac standing in a less-than-prominent ward? Anyone could see that the only Leeds ward where dividing the BNP vote was relevant was Morley South.

Okay then, here's another equally implausible conspiracy theory (which I don't believe for a second)... the BPP was established by the BNP - the small sacrifice (and 135 votes IS small) of losing one Leeds ward is compensated for by the fact the BNP can now point to obvious Hitler-fetishists like the BPP when accused of being fascist and say "we're just patriotic, that lot are the real fascists". Bingo, extra credibility to the BNP and it makes even more of a whipping boy out of JT's 'favourite' Morrison and his sorry handful of acolytes.

No, really what happened is Morrison & co founded one of the most laughable fascist groups we've seen in ages, made a series of disasterous blunders and u-turns and failed utterly, because they're just rubbish.
