Far left is helpless to stop the rise of the BNP

Uncle Joe | 03.05.2006 18:15 | Analysis | Anti-racism | Workers' Movements | London

Anarchists, socialists, communists, social democrats and liberals do not seem to grasp the issues fuelling the rise of the BNP among the white working class.

It is certain that campaigning to Defend Asylum Seekers and calling for Open Borders certainly won't stem the growth of the far right. The politically correct left in all it's guises is incapable of acknowledging this.

The BNP are spreading wider and deeper roots across England. See Stop the BNP site for list of all candidates. The failure of the left to create a credible electoral alternative for the white working class has led to this sorry state of affairs.

We can only cross our fingers for the May 4th local elections and hope that the protest votes for the BNP won't be too great.
