Chesterfield Mayday 2006

I saw a Fair sized Demo and march - set out and return. Some of the CND/Stop the War folk on the march said that it was fairly well received out on the streets.
Not sure how much defending of Trade Union rights was done.
I was on a stall for the campaign groups. I had a walk into the town and ALL of the usual multi-national nasty shops were open and also, sadly, the Co-operative store in Chesterfield centre(shame on it/them - for being open on Mayday(Monday).
Next year will be the 30th year of the Chesterfield TUC Mayday march and rally.
Please DO go along and support it and the campaign/community and political stalls too.
