Up to 150 people marched in Cardiff's first march for action on global warming. Called by Cardiff Campaign against Climate Change -  CardiffCCC@hotmail.co.uk

The march ended in a rally with speakers including Julian Rosser, Director of Friends of the Earth Cymru, who called for support for the "Big Ask" campaign to get MPs to support an act of parliament leagally binding the government to reducing emissions by 3% every year. Adam Johannes, from Respect - The Unity Coalition, Bethan Jenkins from Cymru X: Plaid Cymru Youth, Owen Clarke from the Green Party, Chris Senior from People & Planet, Ian Williams from Plan B: Alternatives to Oil.

The march received a message of support from Jill Evans MEP who was at Chernobyl on that day.

The march also advertised the day of International Climate Protest on Novemeber 4th.

Organisers hope that the march will be the beginning of many bigger demonstrations and actions to save the planet

and attendees are planning on going to the most exciting climate chaos protest this year, the Camp for Climate Action, 26th August-4th September, north England - workshops, living it like we want, actions - bring it on!

by taking to the streets and getting the message out there - people start to learn this is something we are all responsible for, and it's us who do something about it - not the state.

this demos should spread city by city - take a lead
