Just correcting my intro. Ben Griffin just gave a Ch.4 news interview saying amongst other things it had been misreported that Kendall-Smith had already been in Iraq, he hadn't.

Any suggestions how to help beyond future support demos at his civilian appeals and emailling Justin ?

Ben Griffin was just on Newsnight saying not only was he prevented from speaking at Kendall-Smiths trial, Kendall-Smith wasn't even permitted to speak. Military justice is civilian injustice, at least peace protestors are allowed to mention international law before being shouted down.

The army argument which excused Griffin and imprisoned Kendall-Smith is that Kendall-Smith, though he had resigned hadn't served his time. This is a weakness of the army and a way to prevent future illegal wars. Before we even try Blair for war-crimes, we should give soldiers the same rights as the emergency services such as the police or firemen. If they only had to work four weeks notice, if they faced civilian courts, then no unpopular war would be possible, they couldn't be intimidated into going. That is the true meaning of a volunteer army and it is perhaps another bridge from campaigning soldiers to the peace movement worth stressing.

If you want to end illegal and undemocratic wars, give soldiers the same rights as police.

Sometimes (the kind of times that no sane human wishes to experience) the greys of life are pulled back like curtains to a position of BLACK and WHITE, and what lies behind is a literal HELL, or alternatively the final opportunity to understand the true nature of what is approaching, in the forlorn hope that anything can be done to change our destiny.

There is another problem, however. As life's impending horrors are finally revealed to all, those humans that falsely consider themselves fully sane (the majority) come to one conclusion, namely that closing one's eyes, and listening to the siren voices of those responsible for the approaching horrors represents the only sensible option.

What was it like to understand the full intentions of Adolf Hitler pre-1939, and yet watch the vast majority of humans choose to behave in the way most likely to encourage and aid Hitler in achieving his most extreme ambitions?

It should be noted that in the South in the US during the 60's, draft notices were sent to black humans addressed to the first name only (the direct equivalent of saying 'boy'). One such recipient refused to appear until they addressed him as 'Mr' (as was the case with white draftees). This they refused (suprise) and to avoid arrest, he became a political fugitive in the UK. I believe he eventually received a pardon from Clinton.)

Sorry, as I was saying, Malcolm Kendall-Smith remembers that the Nuremberg Trials declared that AGGRESSIVE WARFARE represented the worst of all WARCRIMES. Of course, we remember that only losers get tried, and a nazi victory would have led to many people on the opposite side being RIGHTFULLY hung for the same offense. The nazis had their concentration camps and invasions, and we had our policy of civilian genocide through total city extermination. However, at least our bad behaviour FOLLOWED Hitler's bad behaviour.

It is important to understand (unlike the way Blair's New Reich followers would attempt to argue) that Malcolm Kendall-Smith is NOT advancing a pacifist agenda. No, Malcolm is making the clear and totally accurate point that ANY action that supports Blair's invasion of Iraq (which ends ONLY when ALL foreign forces are completely removed from that nation) represents the EXACT SAME SUPREME WARCRIME detailed at Nuremberg.

He has gone to jail (and ruined his medical career for as long as the monster Blair remains in power, for no hospital in the UK will be allowed to employ him, and New Zealand now has a government TOTALLY in step with Blair, so they will follow suit) because he correctly indentifies his position as between the BLACK OF BLAIR'S HEART and the WHITE OF THE REJECTION OF RAPE, TORTURE AND MURDER IN THE NAME OF THE STATE.

Does Malcolm want activist support for himself personally? If you come to that conclusion, you really are not paying attention. He WANTS the bad people to go away. He WANTS Bush and Blair tried for crimes against humanity. He wants AGGRESSIVE WARFARE stopped. He WANTS activist support for his position. He doesn't want to go to prison, but he is making a stand on behalf of a principle that he wishes with all of his heart we would all stand behind.

How can we help? Well we can start by rejecting EVERYTHING that Blair, and his New Reich Party or followers say or do. We can make our greatest desire the DOWNFALL of Blair and all his works (you REALLY want to focus on Bush instead? you REALLY don't realise that the female Clinton monster replacing Bush would be identical to the Blair monster following Thatcher, and would have the direct consequence of making Blair even more powerful?). When Hitler was in power, there were many bad people and parties around him. However, ANY time given to confronting them instead of Hitler worked to Hitler's direct advantage. The BNP (a New Reich Production) is one of many irrelevant political forces used as just such a distration today.

No Blair, No War with Serbia (with Kosovo as the excuse).
No Blair, No EU backing of Russian warcrimes in Chechnya.
No Blair, No 911 meme.
No Blair, No US/Iran invasion of Afghanistan.
No Blair, No US/Iran/UK invasion of Iraq.

What does not help? ANY BELIEF IN CAREFULLY PLACED MASS MEDIA LIES THAT BLAIR IS RETIRING, BEING REPLACED BY BROWN, OR BEING REMOVED BY FORCES WITHIN THE NEW REICH PARTY. I understand now that the German people must have been played with the self-same 'false-hope' trick about some phoney circumstance in which Hitler would no longer have been leader.

Most of us would be too cowardly to do what Malcolm Kendall-Smith has done. At the best, most of us would have just found a safe excuse to leave the RAF, satisfying the need not to be part of Blair's EXTERMINATION MACHINE, but not presenting an act of conscience to the wider world at the cost of our own freedom. Malcolm has said to all of us "think about what *I* am doing, and why".

Would Mr Kendall-Smith have acted this way if he thought Iraq was the end of it? I don't know for certain, but I bet the answer is no. We may hate what has happened in the past, but it is the nature of good humans to be concerned by, and seek to protect the future. The US now outspends the WHOLE of the rest of the nations of the Earth combined on military programs. At the forefront of these are NUCLEAR, CHEMICAL, GENETIC and SPACE WEAPON programs, with an equal emphasis on avoiding M.A.D. (mutually assured destruction when competing nations have certain weapons tech, even when in much smaller numbers than the US).

-Mr Kendall-Smith sees the US seek to have military power to take on the rest of the planet.
-Mr Kendall-Smith sees the US work to ensure that this military power is capable of use without the danger of M.A.D.
-Mr Kendall-Smith sees the US move beyond theory, and actually wage AGGRESSIVE WAR as a matter of standard policy.
-Mr Kendall-Smith sees the US get away with its CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY by relying on BLAIR to use PR and political skills to rally other leaders behind Bush, and eliminate any concept of EFFECTIVE democratic dissent against US warcrimes by the population of our planet.

Of course, even Malcolm Kendall-Smith fails to put 2 and 2 together, and understand that it is Blair, not any Neocon force in the US, that is masterminding the whole enterprise. Few people do, and even on the rare occasions that it does happen, the next batch of Black Propaganda immediately draws the attention back to the power elite in the States.

Blair stays, WE die. This is the truth that chokes in so many people's brains. Everyone now KNOWS that this was the absolute true statement about Hitler in the 30's for the German people (and obviously millions of non-Germans). Despite that crystal clear lesson of history, it would seem people will choose destruction over thinking the same truth about Blair in time to do something.

Instead, it's all that SAME playground mentality... "look at Blair, he's too this, that, or the other (insert your favourite juvenile insult) to be the top man". This is the thread the Human Race dangles by. The sickening playground bullying that so many inadequate humans joined in with to make themselves feel superior turned against them by Blair to ensure that they will leave him alone long enough for it to be too late.

As the number of individuals in the UK that actively support Blair by voting for him, or his New Reich party, diminishes, his power actually grows. This means that there is NO conventional political solution to Blair (not quite true, if the numbers voting collapsed, Blair would lose power through a process of 'no-voter-confidence-in-the-system' previously unseen in the UK, which is why so many pretend anti-Blair activists work hard to encourage people to vote at this time). Blair, and his New Reich party, can only be destroyed through the kind of political activity seen in other nations that suffered from an effective dictatorship. Now who here believes THAT is going to happen.

We all have choices. "Blair is an evil monster. There is nothing I can do to remove him. Therefore I'm going to pretend that everthing is OK in order to remain sane and as happy as possible" is NOT a choice that will do anything but give Blair TOTAL victory. The German people tried this with Hitler. The horrors that THEY suffered as a consequence were so hellish (and I'm not suggesting that they hadn't earnt them) in terms of millions RAPED, millions DEAD, millions HOMELESS, should ensure that WE never, ever, ever take the path of self-delusion.

Mr Malcolm Kendall-Smith DOES NOT KNOW if his actions will make a difference. He DOES KNOW that moral humans have no choice at a time like this. Wishful thinking is not an option. Self delusion is not an option. Letting the Mass Media bully you into shrugging your shoulders, and saying that humans deserve butchery because they are muslim or black or chinese or whatever is NOT an option.

I'm sure my words will cause the usual New Reich followers to demand once again that I am banned from commenting in this place. I'm sure the same New Reich followers have already done their best in the Mass Media to ensure that Mr Kendall-Smith's words are as censored as possible with respect to how many casual listeners and viewers actually get to hear them. But you don't need Mr Kendall-Smith, and you certainly don't need me to tell you what is right and what is wrong. You were born with that moral understanding. The State has worked hard to beat it out of you, except for those times it either serves their purposes, or doesn't work against them. You merely have to rewind to the person you ALWAYS were.

Please, all that is being asked is that you fully judge Blair with your inate moral understanding, unfettered and unprogrammed. I know the true nature of the greatest number of us is glorious, and that mass-murdering sadistic monsters like Rose West and Tony Blair are an anomaly. Good is, and always has been the majority on this Earth. However, when good rests, a tiny amount of well motivated evil can, and will conquer all of us. And please remember that true pure evil is uncomprehendable (english is a living language, and I prefer this 'non-word' so sue me), so those that invite one to 'comprehend' it (rather than simple identify it and end it) actually serve that evil, for they know that in that fruitless effort lies the real possibility of useless and thus evil serving conclusions.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were strings being pulled behinds the scene to ensure another whitewash. There's no way the government would want any legal precedent set establishing the Iraq war as illegal. The remifications of a successful plea would be anightmare for the MoD.

I take it the poor bastard will be doing his time in Colchester too. 8 months of treatment that would be classified as torture in any other walk of life.

Minor correction, much like me correcting myself earlier. He had already resigned his commission. They just hadn't accepted his resignation. The thrust of your point stands, he certainly hasn't chosen the easy path, this is certainly a matter of reasoned principle.

This trial is like the mafia suing a hitman for refusing to do the hit even though they turned down the job. No offence Malcolm, you can have the choice of my neices.

He was also fined £20,000 too, and the details of his savings was published. He has obviously never once committed the slightest crime in his life or that would have been published along with details of his savings.

Well, News24 were rotating coverage that mdke a point of reiterating the Judge Advocate's remarks that his non-resignation was proof of an ulterior motive.

There was no mention of any tendered resignation!

How about getting involved in the poor bloke's legal costs?

Any chance of a fund being set up to pay the outrageous fine?
