EARTH DAY DEMO! WALES ECO-PROTEST

ADAM JOHANNES | 07.04.2006 13:19

EARTH DAY - MARCH AGAINST CLIMATE CATASTROPHE!

Assemble 1 pm, Cathays Park (opposite Museum & City Hall)
Earth Day - Saturday 22 April

22 April is Earth Day. In 1970, hot on the heels of the anti-Vietnam movement, 2 million people in the US took part in demonstrations, protests, mass conservation projects and tree planting activities to save the planet.

Cardiff Campaign against Climate Change, along with other environmental and political organisations, is planning a mass demonstration and protest march calling for tough action on climate change.

To add your organisation to the growing list of supporters of this event, e-mail:  CardiffCCC@hotmail.co.uk

Unfair even of true

08.04.2006 13:12

"Realist", that is a ridiculous criticism.

Environmental concerns can be totally orthogonal to our sectarian and tribal and social justice concerns (to name just a few). To the extent that you consider the previous statement untrue you indicate commitment to one of the ideolgies which considers only its concerns to be real. Whether or not your belief is true or not is not reason to think that it would affect the motivations of others who do not share your belief.

Adam Hussein adds up to nothing.

So, Realist, the comment is in perfect english.

Why trivialise efforts to avert Mass Extinction? Do you belong to one of those conquered occupied Nations who think that if their Nation is not free they may as well terminate all Life on Earth?

Trouble is that having a March/demo does nothing to terminate Civilisation.
