Join the protest against airport expansion at the last event of the Nottingham East Midlands Airport Roadshow on April 7th

On Friday the 7th April (at 12 noon until 5pm) Nottingham East Midlands Airport are having their final Airport Master Plan Roadshow at the Harborough District Council Office Reception area in Adam and Eve Street, Market Harborough. So far the Airport has got away lightly with low numbers at the other roadshow events they have held accross the three counties and certainly with no organised opposition.
As usual the NEMA roadshows have been turned into PR exercises "look at us 22 new routes" look at all our jobs creation, we are the economic driver for the East Midlands and we are doing everything to engage with the communities
that we ritually disturb throughout the day and night.
The community brochure they give out is nothing short of PR and leaves out the doubling of the Night Noise pollution they are forecasting within the next 4 years.
We should try and dispel the attitude that the Managing Director Penny Coates has for us in East Leicestershire and Notts and Derby that it's tuf for the few that are being disturbed. This is a one off chance to embarass them in the public eye locally so please make the effort to attend.
We should show a little bit if unity by all turning up at 2pm outside the building on Adam and Eve Street for a press call and show the banners and placards and present a united front - and show the media all is not rosey in the tea garden. Our peaceful demonstartion should all be over within 30-40 minutes.
Its over to you please attend and let me know numbers that can make it ASAP.
