Demonstration opposing the plans to expand Styal Prison to make it the largest women's prison and calling for its closure.
Demo - Styal Prison 1.30pm to 4.30pm
The demonstration will take place on Saturday 8th April 2006 between 1.30pm and 4.30pm outside HMP Styal, Styal Road (B5166), Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 4HR. Banners will be displayed.

How to get to Styal:
Styal is situated about two miles southwest of Manchester Airport on the B5166 (Styal Road) between Wythenshawe and Wilmslow near to Styal County Park.
There is an hourly bus service passing through Styal going from the airport to Wilmslow.
Wilmslow is the nearest main line station, which is about one and a half miles from the prison. (We will be arranging for lifts from the station to the Prison).
The prison is located approximately 13 miles south of Manchester. If travelling by road, follow the signs for Manchester Airport, leaving the M56 at junction 5. At the airport follow the signs for Wilmslow (end of runway will be on your right). Continue to the T-junction and then turn right into Styal Road. The prison is approximately one and a half miles on your left.
Styal Country Park and Quarry Bank Mill are well signposted with the National Trust brown motif. This property is approximately 500 yards before the prison on the right hand side.
