There will be a Mayday rally in Nottingham on Saturday 29th April.

Celebrate community resistance and workers solidarity. Assemble 12.00, Brewhouse Yard Museum, Castle Boulevard to move off on march through city centre at 12.45. Rally with speakers and music back at the Brewhouse Yard following the march. Invited speakers include | Houzan Mahmood(organisation of women’s freedom in Iraq) | Jean Thorpe (Unison NEC) | Defy ID Cards | NAIL (Nottingham Against Incineration and Landfill) | Nottingham Refugee Campaign Group | Cottam Power Station | Alan Simpson MP | Rosie Kane MSP Music from ZIMBABWE | IRAN | KURDISTAN Finish time 16.00. MayDay (eve) Bash - 30th April

Not quite on MayDay, but there is to be a May Day Bash at Sumac Social Club on Sunday 30th April from early evening til 10.30pm-ish. Full details are to be arranged, but the event will include live music, Food by Veggies and fun(d)raising for some good causes. Anyone wishing to get involved plse email pat@veggies.org.uk.
