George Bush arriving in Gateshead ( and Manchester and Leeds? )

Act Locally, Think Globally | 27.03.2006 16:01 | Anti-militarism | Globalisation | Social Struggles | Liverpool

On Wednesday June 7th, George Bush is returning to the North East, where a young man called Ross gave him a public mooning last time.
On Thursday 8th he's off to Manchester, and Friday 9th to Yorkshire, perhaps Leeds?

'Act Locally' reports:

Right-wing comedian George Bush is coming to the SAGE Gateshead to speak at the North East International Business Conference, supporting Tom O’Connor who became President of the United States after stealing lots of black peoples’ votes, and has since invaded successive countries in order to secure enough oil to make Hurricane Katrina a daily event.

Other guests include the managers of yahoo!, the internet information-gathering service for various tyrannies, the founder of costa coffee republic ( not to be confused with a real republic – it’s much wealthier than that! ), and last but not least, YOU!

The organizers say “The conference will provide an ideal forum for corporate hospitality, business networking, and the opportunity for sponsors to meet the key business people in the region.”

We say “The conference will provide an ideal forum for community resistance, public subversion, and the opportunity for pissed-off citizens to express their views to an assortment of bloodstained profiteers, monkeymen and corporate lickspittles.”

The organisers say "the man is a natural leader".
We say "the man is a complete dick".
