Red Tuesday - 28th March will see mass strikes against capitalist attacks in both Britain and France.
In Britain, the strike will be to defend workers pension rights, and will involve 1.5 million workers. It could be the largest strike here since the 1926 general strike.

UPDATED LIST (As of Sat 25th March)of Pensions Strike Rallies on Tues March 28:

This is still only a small proportion of all the days rallies and marches which will happen in the centres of most towns and cities. There will also be thousands of picket lines everywhere in the UK. Even if your locality is not listed here, there will be a picket line at your local town hall, school, college, university, leisure centre, airport, bus depot and many other places where workers are affected by the assault on the local govt pension scheme.

All are welcome to join in and show their solidarity. This is a fight for us all! If capitalism gets up your nose, then picket!

Also, please visit your local pickets and rallies with a camera and notebook and then post the story on Indymedia!

Wrong kind of Action

25.03.2006 22:34

Why oh Why do we have to strike, as a WYPF holder I like many will be striking to protect my pension, but lets get one thing straight, the UNIONS are letting us down here and here is how.

The labour Party have recieved £44 million pounds of union members hard earnt cash over the past few years, (source: Electoral Commision website)
Now They want to steal our pensions as well, £44 million is not enough !!

So The question :
If the Unions gave new New Labour the choice: Hands of our pensions or NO MORE MONEY.

Do you think we would have to strike, I think not somehow, So you may delete my post, you may censor the truth but the burning question still remains, this strike will only inconvene the public, why are the unions refusing to use the big stick, or as my union rep say "our bargaining stick which we can not jepordise"
Hit them where it hurts, not where it hurts our pockets and the public cause, put the political fund on the table now and we won't need a strike.
New Labour are in serious trouble following the cash for peerages row, hit them where it hurts and they will give in the same day.
The trouble is those who lead us in to strike are New Labour throught and you can not serve your master and ask your servants to fight him, join me in this crusade.

HANDS OF PENSIONS OR NO POLITICAL FUND

Do not be silenced by New labour men.

Striker.

Good idea

Yes, sure, the unions should stop funding these elitist and corrupt New Labour bastards!

But we all know we wont be better off under the f**king Tory or Liberal Democrat bastards either! And in the end, we all know this: EVERY GOVERNMERT AND POLITICAL PARTY ONLY EXISTS TO SERVE THE RICH!

So support no party - lets all take action for ourselves! There is only one answer: STRIKE! And then STRIKE AGAIN!

The only problem with this strike is that it is not enough. One day wont shift the government. And it should involve all the working class now - our rulers want to rob every worker, young and old, public and private sector, of our right to decent pensions, and everything else. They want us to work untill we die. All this while at the same time the rich get richer. But if this strike wins, there is some hope for us all.

Sure, strikes might inconvenience the public...but then we are the f***king public - we are the majority of the working class who stand to loose under this bastard greedy New Labour Thatcherite attack.

The answer is not to let it drag on, but to escalate into all out action and win a speedy victory. Dont winge on the sidelines, join it and make it strong. The strike is the best answer we have if we combine it with a mass public mobilisation against this whole new labour/tory bunch of corrupt shites. Money for pensions not war! Tax the millionaires, dont give them f**king peerages! Prepare for the Class War! Victory to the working class! Lets smash these New Labour bastards and make a better world!
