The basis facts are that the mass mobilisation in support of the Khoodeelaar! Campaign against Crossrail hole that took place on Sunday 22 January 2006 gave a very clear choice to the Council.

The controlling group has refused to take that option and to sow the seeds of dissension in the community by adopting a confrontational approach to the
Khoodeelaar campaign.

We are fully behind Khoodeelaar and if the Tower Hamlets council has not yet recognised the monumental impact the Khoodeelaar campaign is having, it is living in a fool's paradise.

Over the weekend, telephone calls from Asia were received in London to the effect that many exporters of goods intended to ordinary delivery at addresses in Brick Lane, were refusing to send items on the 'basis that the UK Government is breaking up Brick Lane'.

Could you please just explain - for those of us who don't live on Brick Lane - what it is about Crossrail that is going to cause problems in Tower Hamlets.

I'm sure there are all sorts of valid reasons for getting upset about it. But your daily postings are just seeming more and more deranged, paranoid and often so party political (pro Respect) that it's weird they're not hidden.

The people in favour of Crossrail say it should help regenerate the East End and bring more business to some of the most deprived areas of London. It could also be a lot more environmentally-friendly than getting people to drive out to the Thames Gateway and could make the tube less congested.

This could well just be evil spin by Crossrail / London Transport / Department for Transport.

But could you explain - simply - why they are wrong and why Khondelaar isn't just a whingeing bunch of NIMBYs.

I've not taken a side on this. I just want to know - I've visited your website and that left me even more confused.

We are used to the usual dismissive propensities that are contained in certain posts.

Khoodeelaar is opposing the dust, the noise, the pollution that is brought under the Crassrail Bill plan to the Brick Lane London e1 area.

That phrase, 'Brick Lane London E1 area' includes Whitechapel and Mile End Park and goes even beyond those two identifiable locations in the East End of London that is under the Crossrail threats.

The details of our opposition to the plans, the details of the evidence on which we have based the opposition, the details of the constitutional law framework within which we have been campaigning have been published on the internet over the past 20 months and in print for the post 26 months.

Isn't the dishonesty of controlling councillors a caused for serious disquiet?



Crossrail hole threat means that there will be hourly noise p9ollution, disease-causing lorry loads of filth and rubbish and dust and fume being brought out on to the ground from deep under ground and then the pollution spread on to the community

Hourly disruption to ordinary breathing

Minute by minute destruction of the air the atmosphere the quiet - what remains of it

There will be dozens and hundreds of lorry trips across the Brick Lane London E1 area

There will be all of this for years and years

There will be no space for ordinary traffic in the affected parts

Shops will be deserted of trade

And the community will be destroyed.

Is that preferable to the daily Khoodeelaar campaign postings that are - sane, sound, enlighteninging, educational, informative and timely warnings against those things being caused to the community?

Shouldn’t the NIMBY-obsessed pro-Crassrail anonymous posters be required to show common sense and basic awareness about the need to cause totally avoidable and uncalled for destruction of the area and the unnecessary disease causing to the people in the community?

What is the secret that no similar attack of legalised contamination has been even contemplated let alone contained in the Crassrail Bill against any other part of London?

Especially against the relatively ‘wealthier’ parts in central London?

The Brick lane London E1 area campaign against the CrossRail hole has been successful in getting Transport Secretary Alistair Darling to scrap the DIRT hole. But a big hole still is planned to be dug in the area. we are now set to take the Secretary of State and the London mayor and Tower Hamlets Council to court to force them to scrap the remaining CrossRail, hole.

There are other issues related to CrossRail attacks on other parts of the East End.

All those are being included as grounds and evidence in support of our judicial review application which will be formally commenced very soon.

The reason why the court action has not started yet is to do with the procedure -. That has been invoked by the fact of Alistair Darling’s making a statment in the House of Commons, albeit a written one.

We have also had to revise our claims against London mayor Ken Livingstone and against the London borough of Tower Hamlets Council in view of their incomplete retreat on the issue of the CrossRail hole/s.

The Crossrail hole Bill Ministry shows signs of new pressure created by Khoodeelaar! legal action programme
The UK Department for Transport which is formally promoting the Crossrail hole Bill in the British parliament, showed new signs of severe strain and management and organisational fatigue within the Department this week.
Loud and unconcealed signs of deep unease being felt in the Crossrail hole Bill team in the Department came over in a series of communications that was initiated this week by Khoodeelaar! organiser Muhammad Haque and as the Khoodeelaar! court action date got nearer.
The CrossRail team was feeling particular pressure this past week, as confirmed by confidential sources to KHOODEELAARonline late on Friday 18 August 2006.
Due to the Khoodeelaar! legal action programme aimed at forcing the Department to scrap the remainder of the Crossrail hole plot against the East End, the entire team briefed to plug the sham project has been suffering unprecedented strain this past fortnight.
The atmosphere got tenser this week when Khoodeelaar! began serving the Crossrail company with the detailed particulars of claim. It is that company, full title 'Cross London rail Links Limited' [CLRL] that has been in charge of the sham scheme.
Until this week, Khoodeelaar! did not issue the formal letter before claim in quite the detail that it commenced doing this past week.
And the extents of the claim that Khoodeelaar! is proposing to make in court has given unprecedented anxieties being felt by the various agents and promoters inside both the CrossRail hole team [at the DfT] and the CrossRail company itself [CLRL].

It may be recalled that the former Minster heading the CrossRail hole Department [DfT], Alistair Darling, had been forced to stage a U-turn in March this year literally a day before Khoodeelaar! was set to file court claims against him in the London High Court.
Tony Blair shifted Darling out of his Transport Ministry job shortly after Darling had to issue the written statement on 30 March 2006 admitting the truth in effect of every single criticism that Khoodeelaar had made about the CRASSrail DIRT hole in the Brick Lane and Whitechapel London E1 area.

What Mr Darling should meet is the basic, universally applicable requirements of good governance and to start by telling the truth about where most of the big sums of public expenditure have been going and why there is persistent and rising in come disparity in the UK population and why there is such persistent dependence on human resources and cheap labour from other, relatively less affluent countries. Anatole Kaletsky has made a seriously illogical and economically untenable series of statements in this piece. There is no case for Crossrail as it is in the current CrossRail hole Bill [the 'Crossrail Bill' in the UK House of Commons]. There most emphatically is no case at all for funding another waster of very scarce public resource, and to the tune of over £20 Billion which is what CrossRail will cost at 2005 prices.

The BBC is doing the CRASS thing again. It is peddling as an ‘alternative’ to the ‘London’ CRASSrail a thing called ‘Superlink’ today

The BBC is fabricating in that task as well. It is concealing the key fact that it, the BBC, has peddled and promoted CRASSrail without giving any space of any lasting currency to the comprehensive and the real critics of the CRASSrail hole plot.

That criticism has only come from KHOODEELAAR!


Both the BBC and the Guardian Unbelievable web site are running versions of the same stunt by ‘Superlink’ today [Tuesday 16 October 2007].

BITH he BBC and the Guardian have persistently peddled CRASSrail and suppressed the opposition to the CRASSrail hole plot.

The BBC has failed to report truthfully and accurately and sustainable what KHOODEELAAR! has produced and stated and demonstrated to be the flaws both in the CRASSrail scheme itself and also in the unconstitutional and therefore unlawful way that the ‘CrossRail Bill’ is - has been - being pushed through the formal House of Commons.


The same has been done by the racist Guardian which has followed its previously followed agenda of suppressing the truth.

‘Superlink’ is No answer to the crassness of CrossRail. The ONLY economic answer to the CRASSrail problem is to scrap the plan and to start again from the very basic premisses [logical assumptions and concepts] based on the true economic and transport needs of ordinary people in London.

Those who have been parading their trade as ‘railway professionals’ including Michael Schabas and John Prideaux, pretending to be offering an alternative to ‘CRASSrail’ are themselves as crass as the peddlers of the CRASSrail plot itself.

There is no end to the crassness of the peddlers of the CRASSrail hole. No end to the CRASSrail hole scam and plotters’ lies.

As we have been saying for the past 4 years now, the ‘CRASSrail scheme’ as it is [and as substantially contained in the CrossRail Bill in the UK House of Commons] is nit being prompted as a transport project but as a cover for their agenda items in Big Business pan.

Those include the removal of the community such as the one that exists in the East End of London. That is why the CRASSrail hue plotters chose the E1 area for the digging of the holes and the other attacks of serious environmental damage and social exclusion

That there are drastic programmes of environmental attacks contained in the CRASSrail hole plot is not at all admitted by the Pluggers of Crossrail.

They failed to admit to those in the formal charde being staged before the poodle ‘select committee of MPs’ on Crossrail.

In a rare display of contact with the truth, and via the BBC, the un-named spokeswoman is reported today to recognise that CRASSrail does entail the destructive attacks on communities.


But that statement has been an indirectly targeted one. However, I shall examine the full ramifications of the statement in the course of this commentary, being published in parts.

The BBC quotes the un-named Crassrail company [CLRL] spokeswoman as saying that CrossRail DOES
“entail major
environmental difficulties, offer
fewer regeneration benefits
and present considerable operational difficulties.”

Khoodeelaar! Dissecting the latest CRASSrail lies done via the promotion of 'Thames Gateway’ Degeneration propaganda by the Gordon Brown administration reacting to the very tame ‘criticism’ by a group of MPs as published during Wednesday 14 November 2007.

‘Thames Gateway’ is part of the construction conglomerates-prompted projects including Crassrail that the Tony Blair administration had hyped by abusing the state of poverty, social exclusion and dis-education that had been created over the previous generations in the east and to the south east of London and in the inner city East End of London.

The other one is the 2012 London Olympic Games hosting fabrication.

All three projects in the east end of London will accentuate poverty and social exclusion and environmental disequilibrium and by the time their real effects and impacts are recognised by the UK 'mainstream' media, and via any other 'public opinion forums' all the serious harm and damage will have been done and it will all be too late.


Wednesday’s ‘expression of concern’ by a group of typically tame UK MPs [timidity is traditional !!! behaviour by 'MPs' when they address any executive misbehaviour or misconduct or wrung conduct or unwise proposal. Exceptions are painfully and undemocratically rare in the UK. This is to do with the fact, again confirmed a few weeks ago, when excessively high amounts of expenses were found to have been attaching to large numbers of them. Other costs to the public caused by greedy MPs using any manner of excuses to pocket even more extra money, also came to light. It is unrealistic to expect such persons to even know what morality is, let alone to apply any coherent and high moral standards of accountability against the executive whom the same MPs are supposed to hold to account….]
