Support needed for threatened asylum legal advice group

Dave | 07.03.2006 14:03 | Anti-racism | Migration

A group providing invaluable legal advice to asylum seekers, refugees and those working with them is seeking urgent help to continue its work.

The Children's Legal Centre's Refugee and Asylum Seeking Children's Project has provided essential advice and assistance to help vulnerable children get the care they need.

Its funding ends in March and no further money has yet been found. It will close in June at the latest if nothing can be done. This will undoubtedly lead to further abuse of children's rights.

We can help the group find new funding by sending letters reporting why it is necessary. Particularly helpful are letters from people who have used the group or been involved with helping asylum seeking children or refugees.
