It is with regret the IMC Monitoring Team has to report the recent period has been the worst since monitoring began nearly a year ago. There were more posts removed from the newswire than allowed to stay, this is the first time the number of removed posts has exceeded those remaining on the main newswire of moved to the Hidden section. Of particular concern has been the practice of removing all post detailing the new source of IMC funding that is sure to cause concern for all of us that care about the principles of Indymedia in the UK.

As in previous times copies of all IMC posts are available on our website together with all removed comments. In addition we now offer the opportunity to post comments to posts which have been hidden. This facility was removed from Indymedia UK when it became clear the majority of users were using the "show all posts" page as the real home page. Our new server is up and running and easily able to deal with a large number of posts and comments.
