SAVE THE CONQUEROR PUB FROM DEMOLITION

Kristian Robinson | 04.03.2006 13:57 | London

Urgent response needed to avert developer sneaking in planning permission to demolish Unique 1930's local Pub next to Shorditch Church.

We're making a request for local people to email Tower Hamlets council opposing the demolition of the building 'The Conqueror Pub' located on the corner of Austin street and Boundary St next to Shorditch Church london, the building is a fine Unique 1930's construction and planning has been submitted for a five story building with 4 bed-sits, a two bedroom flat and a three bedroom flat. There is not enough actual space for them. The owner is trying to sneak in the plans in a quarter of the usual time with again insufficient public notice (a few letters to immediate neighbors, one A4 laminate outside the building and no notice in the paper).

YOUR EMAILS ARE VAILD !
ALL PREVIOUS PLANNING APPLICATIONS HAVE BEEN REFUSED AS A RESULT OFF PUBLIC REACTION !

Please note that over the years the building has been occupied restored and cared for and the occupiers have approach numerous publicans and breweries who have in turn expressed interest in taking the building in order to re-open it as a local pub. We believe this would be the most satisfactory conclusion for the building and community,
yet the landLord Developer has no desire other than to demolish and maximize on investment !

So please email the below before the 10th March to save this London landmark, including the address and the reference number… and any comments of your own.

Thanks
