Camp for Climate Action- Oxford Meetings

OAA | 14.02.2006 10:02 | Oxford

The next meeting for local people interested in getting involved with this summer's climate camp will take place this Wednesday (15th Feb) at 7.30 in OARC (upstairs @ East Oxford Community Centre).

The national gathering preparing for the camp will also be hosted in Oxford on the 11th and 12th of March.

For those who don't know, the climate camp is a ten-day event 26th August - 4th September in the North of England which aims to:

- take action against climate change;

- provide information on climate change and its causes;

- share and live practical solutions;

- network with people campaigning on all aspects of climate change

The camp is being organised by an open process - anyone can get involved. Oxford people are taking on some of the publicity and fundraising and planning to organise a 'neighbourhood' within the camp. To get involved
with the Oxford neighbourhood, promote the camp locally or get involved with the wider running of the camp, come to this meeting!

We have also agreed to hold the March national planning meeting for the camp in Oxford on the weekend of the 11th and 12th of March and help is needed with this too.

Hope to see you there!
