It includes interviews with many of the Hippies and Tourists, there children, the Chilean Mafia, Rebel Clowns from the Land of Love, and a possie of MC's on a day trip to London.

Lovely! The videos on indymedia are getting better and better. Cool editing, really like it, one of the best seen for a while. Would LOVE to screen it only sadly the encoding is really really bad. There are loads of motion artifacts that look like interlacing. Please re-encode as mpeg4 and reupload on here or video.indymedia.org

Yes there was a recent Video Workshop in London (

http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/regions/london/2006/01/331829.html) which really helped to motivate people, including myself, and I think more people want good video, so it will come.

I did the edit very quickly, and unfortunately digitized it a low sample 'off-line' rate, so the whole video will need re-editing at dv quality, which might be some time before I can get round to it.

The master is however much better than the mpeg above, so I will try to upload a higher quality version, as you suggest, or you can contact me through the indy video list (

http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/listinfo/imc-uk-video) or direct, and I can send you a copy.

Also it will be screened tonight along with other films in West London (

http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/regions/london/2006/02/332789.html) for a special Indymedia Valentine Film Night.

There will also be a longer film being made of Reclaim Love III, which my footage will hopefully be a part of, so keep an eye out for that.

yes, i don't know why it has done that, but if you follow above instructions, and download it to your computer first, it should play fine.

But download the free open source program VLC which works on windows, linux and osx and you will find it much easier to play most videos you find on indymedia. It's a tiny download and quite honestly an essential program for any computer.

I agree that VLC is great, but it won't play this type of video on Macintosh or Linux--only on windows. These are encoded in `WMV3', as are many videos on Indymedia these days.

VLC should be able to succesfully play both audio and video in wma and wmv 1 and 2, for the newest version (wmv3) only the windows version of vlc will be able to play it, since no opensource implementation of wmv3 have been made so far, so the windows vlc plays it by using the windows api. DRM files however can not be played on any OS.

Viewing soulution for Mac users

If you have Mac OS X Version 10.3.9 or higher and QuickTime Version 6.5 or higher then there is an easy and free way to watch this video (wmv3) in QuickTime without downloading anything from Microsoft. All you need to do is install Flip4Mac "Windows Media Components for QuickTime" available from www.flip4mac.com. Just download the disk image and run the installer. You will need to restart your system before it works as they suggest. You can pay for an upgrade which will let you do other stuff but the basic free version will let you watch the video. Hope this helps.
