While we speechlessly slept away the night
Others held their loved ones
Trying to patch their childrens' lives
Held them as they lay dying
Or stood beside their graves
The wailing is the same
A mother's pain is a mother's pain
We beg for this all to end
Showing solidarity to our sisters
Let's set aside this time each day
To unleash a profound wail from our soul
Out loud or simply just in silence
Not for ourselves or our own sorrow
But for each and every mother from all corners of the world
Regardless of country, culture or religion
Are you a woman who would like to be part of a very powerful global event aimed at showing solidity to mothers around the world Mothers whose children are dying everyday from mankind's inhumanity

There is, at present, an ominous silence from the Anti-War Movement about the dangers of a Nuclear Attack on Iran by the USA and Israel.
It is not my wish to act like a doomsayer or to alarm anyone unnecessarily. In the dark times we live that would be a cruel and unforgivable thing to do.
The western countries have, in the most cynical fashion, chosen to demonize and persecute the Islamic world, to turn it into a new "menace" (now that the "Red Menace" no longer exists) in order to justify to their peoples a state of "permanent war".
It is a very frightening situation in which we are now but very few are aware of what the warmongers are preparing. In my opinion, and in the growing awareness of many others, the new 21st Century imperialism we now face is already just as bad as the nazism of Hitler's Third Reich.

In other words, the low yielding mini-nukes have an explosive capacity of one third of a Hiroshima bomb.
The earth-penetrating capability of the [nuclear] B61-11 is fairly limited, however. Tests show it penetrates only 20 feet or so into dry earth when dropped from an altitude of 40,000 feet. Even so, by burying itself into the ground before detonation, a much higher proportion of the explosion energy is transferred to ground shock compared to a surface bursts. Any attempt to use it in an urban environment, however, would result in massive civilian casualties. Even at the low end of its 0.3-300 kiloton yield range, the nuclear blast will simply blow out a huge crater of radioactive material, creating a lethal gamma-radiation field over a large area.

A White House leak revealing astonishing details of how Tony Blair and George Bush lied about the Iraq war is set to cause a worldwide political storm. A new book exposes how the two men connived to dupe the United Nations and blows the lid off Mr Blair's claim that he was a restraining influence on Mr Bush. He offered his total support for the war at a secret White House summit as Mr Bush displayed his contempt for the UN, made a series of wild threats against Saddam Hussein and showed a devastating ignorance about the catastrophic aftermath of the war. Based on access to information at the highest level, the book by leading British human rights lawyer Philippe Sands QC, Professor of Law at London University, demonstrates how the two men decided to go to war regardless of whether they obtained UN backing.

Presenter: Steve Austin & Jane Fynes-Clinton Philippe Sands is a barrister and professor of international law at University College in London. His book Lawless World claims the Bush and Blair administrations are trying to rewrite the rules to justify the Iraq war, and that John Howard may be exposed to international criminal investigation.
He says that in 2002, America abandoned the Statute of International Criminal Court. Former US president Bill Clinton signed it in 2000 but because George W Bush did not re-sign, he is not subject to any kind of prosecution as a possible war criminal. Philippe argues we on the verge of a new world order where the most powerful nations can put aside the rules that no longer suit them.
Philippe Sands has had a long legal career. He has been involved in leading cases before international courts, including those concerning Augusto Pinochet and the Guantanamo and Belmarsh detainees.
He negotiated on behalf of the Solomon Islands during a UN diplomatic conference in 1998. He was involved in negotiating the first global warming treaty in the early 1990s. He also created his own public interest law firm to provide free legal assistance to developing countries on issues of environment and development.
