WHITE HOUSE: PRIME MINISTER'S MEETING WITH PRESIDENT, 16 April 2004.
Prime Minister met president Bush on 16 April 2004 to discuss Fallujah and Al Jazeera.
This record is extremely sensitive. No further copies should be made. It should be shown only to those with a genuine need to know its contents.
Pres: Tony, it’s nice to see you again. Did you have a good trip?
PM: Yes George, Thanks. We were expecting a bit of rough weather but it was all right.
Pres:Well, I’d like to say to start with that we appreciate your help in Fallujah but that Al Jazeera’s reporting is altogether too vicious, inaccurate and inexcusable.
PM: I’ve noticed but what can you do. They have people on the ground.
Pres: I know, we’ve been trying to take them out but they are harder to get than the bad guys.
PM: The thing is that we should be able to pinpoint them from their satellite communications and take them out.
Pres: We’ve tried and have taken out two of their com units while they were reporting but they know we are after them and stay well away while they are uploading.
PM: Hard to get so?
Pres: We can hit them at home.
PM: Where?
Pres: We are going for their HQ in Doha. That’ll stop them for a while.
PM: How do you mean? Jam their output?
Pres: No. Bomb the shit out of them with bunker busters
