"A true revolution of values will say of war, 'This way of settling differences is not just.' …I call on Washington today. I call on every man and woman of goodwill…to take a stand on this issue. Tomorrow may be too late! The book may close. And I don't know about you, but I ain't going to study war no more."

Dr. Martin Luther King (1929 - 1968)

King was teh most moderate person that could run the civil rights movement

King was the most conforming comprimising leader the civil rights movement could have asked for. He never adressed real issues. Praised the USA in every speech, allowed blacks to be attacked without calling for the right to fight back or even self defence. The system wanted people like King. Religious Patriots who would not adress the real issue like other groups such as the Black Panther Party did. I respect him for the comitment he showed but he misguided people and thats why the situation for African Americans is no better now than it was then.

The beast that would be king

King was a fraud. A syphalitic, wife beating, thief. *(plagarised his doctoral thesis)...

I am sure there are better role models out there for black empowerment then this beast
