Benefit for an Independent Media Centre at the World Social Forum in Bamako
In January 2006 activists from all over Africa and Europe will get together in Bamako for the first World Social Forum (WSF) to be held on African Soil.

As we stood in Sheffield and Gleneagles last summer to protest against the G8, as we criticised the spin of Gordon Brown and vain artists to whitewash neo-colonial exploitation of Africa, we will get together now in Bamako in West-Africa to continue creating the grassroots alternative to corporate globalization.
The Indymedia project for Africa will set up an Independent Media Centre at the WSF to provide the world with first account information about what's happening in Bamako and increase our global network of independent information and resistance.
To support the setup of the centre, Sheffield Indymedia is inviting you to come along to our benefit night, get the news and dance away.
