They want to keep some of their own oil money.
Well I never heard the like.
Paul Wolfowitz, the president of the World Bank, said in a statement: "If these amendments become law and Chad passes a law to keep more than 12.5% of their own money it will harm the well-being of Chad and represent a material breach of the original agreement."
The agreement with the international consortium, comprising ExxonMobil and Chevron of the US and Petronas of Malaysia, gives Chad 12.5% of the income from its oil.
“12% should be enough for those Kaffirs” Wof-o-Witz was reported as saying.
