Greenpeace is hardly a non-hierarchal oranisation and with millions in the bank it's hard to see why people would support them rather than grassroots local groups.

* Non-news : posts which are clearly purely comment, opinion or rants unrelated to a recent event or action etc.
* Hierarchy : The newswire is designed to generate a news resource, not a notice-board for political parties or
any other hierarchically structured organizations.

I think this post should be removed

I totally agree, this is not news and Greenpeace are one of the richest, heirarchic (and also greenwashin') 'campaign' groups going.

I agree about removing this post. However, what about events organised by local/grassroots/non-heirarchic groups etc etc? I wonder if Indy should set up a specific open-publishing 'events' page, just like the newswire but purely for adverts for events (still under the same guidelines i.e. non-hierarchic). I mean Indy is a great place to advertise demos/meetings etc (I know Ive done it plenty of times!) BUT I recognise that this is not really what the newswire should be used for. So how about somewhere specific on Indy UK for this?

Those arse lickers of business seem to be little more than a big middle class cash hole. Don't join GP- get out there and do your own actions - down with green capitalismo. Anyway I'm sure they can ask thick egotistical wankers like Lennox, Bonco and Geldofo ( arogant superpratt helping to privatise Africa )

...about maybe a seperate noticeboard area, to the newswire, as it's clearly wanted. And hopefully it will make it easier to read the news items...
