Education is for sale

19.12.2005 17:08

Teachers sell education and they expect to be paid a market rate for their skills. I'll believe education isn't for sale when teachers work for a subsistence wage and no more. Teachers in the state system exploit their abilities to get a much better wage than the average person. That's capitalism pure and simple. If you like some aspects of capitalism don't squawk about others. And I do know what I'm talking about - I'm a teacher in a state school, so I know the wage rates, which in any case are publically available infornmation.
