MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL, THE BIGGEST LIARS OF THEM ALL.....

Two news stories today leads one to the same conclusion – the media lies and manipulates stories leading to the question, who can really trust the press?

First the story of how Daily Mirror journalists used their position on the newspaper to get rich.

Former Daily Mirror journalist James Hipwell has today been found guilty of using the paper's City Slickers column to manipulate the stock market and make profits for himself by using the paper to inflate share prices he invested in and private investor, Terry Shepherd, was convicted of a similar offence The men will be sentenced at a later date and could be jailed for up to seven years and face confiscation orders.

They will remain on bail.

Homophobic Mirror

The Daily Mirror’s Sunday sister title, the Sunday People, was mentioned in the other news story regarding the libel case of leading singer and performer Robbie Williams who has accepted substantial damages over claims that he is secretly homosexual.
The People newspaper, “Star” and “Hot Stars” magazines in 2004 published stories alleging Mr Williams had engaged in casual homosexual sex.

The publications' owners, MGN Limited and Northern & Shell plc, now accepted the stories were untrue and had agreed undisclosed damages, the court heard.

Faked pictures

This scandal follows an earlier scandal where Piers Morgan, the editor of the Daily Mirror, was forced to resign for printing false pictures in the paper that showed fake images of ' Iraqis' being tortured by British soldiers. The fact that because of Piers Morgan and the Daily Mirror our British soldiers may have died as a result of this.
