Shayler is one of the most notorious whistleblowers in British political history, and Machon’s book is a damning indictment of the operations of the secret service on behalf of the British Government.

“We have both personally witnessed state collusion and terrorist atrocities,” said Annie Machon.

“The public need to know the truth about the so-called war against terrorism, especially as we are still suffering the after effects of 9/11, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and the 7/7 bombings in London,” she added.

“At Cardiff Face The Facts, we will be talking about how these secret and despicable acts have eroded our traditional values, our concepts of freedom and our civil liberties. They have also led to a worrying increase in racism and hatred. Both David and I have seen first hand exactly what our British Government is capable of. We will expose some of its dirty dealings, its lying and its domestic and international crimes.”

“The misdemeanours and outright deceit includes UK taxpayers funds going to Al Queda to fund a plot to kill Libya’s Colonel Ghadaffi in 1995/96; British Intelligence Agents targeting and torturing civilians Northern Ireland; America’s $3million funding of Israel’s “pinpoint prevention” policy, which has led to the deaths of innocent Palestinian civilians; and the ham-fisted cover ups over intelligence failures regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction, which Tony Blair used to take the nation into an illegal war in Iraq,” Machon explained.

Machon and Shayler will give exclusive insights into the cover ups over the death of Dr Kelly and the so-called Hutton and Butler “Enquiries”. They will also outline how MI5 failed to stop four major terrorist attacks in Britain, even though they had reliable intelligence and many other explosive revelations.

Annie Machon was born on Guernsey in 1968, and was educated at the Ladies College there. She went on to study classics at Girton College, Cambridge. In 1989 she began her career as an Editorial Assistant for a publishers but left when she was recruited as an officer for MI5 in 1991. In 1996 she left MI5 to work as a Management Consultant specializing in human resources. Since 1997 she and her partner David Shayler have been government whistleblowers.
