EDO rooftop appeal at Lewes Crown Court

Three activists convicted of aggravated trespass for a rooftop protest at Brighton arms dealers EDO MBM have their appeal next week at Lewes Crown Court from December 6th - 9th.

The three took part in an action in May last year which resulted in EDO's factory closing down for the day. On the same day a road blockade with a cage prevented staff getting to work.
Defendants of a subsequent rooftop occupation at a peace camp last year were acquitted of Aggravated Trespass at the same court, Brighton Magistrates as no disruption had been caused to the factory.
The three will be arguing that they were acting to prevent EDO's unlawful weapons production (they are used in the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq) and that they didn't cause any disruption to EDO's illegal activity in any case.
There will be a photo op with banners outside Lewes Crown Court on Wednesday 7th December at 1.30.
