Plane Stupid photos

LH | 01.12.2005 01:11 | Ecology

Last night around two hundred anti-aviation people met to try and disrupt and protest against the dinner on Tower Bridge that a load of aviation big-shots were having. These are some photos!

Lots of police. Not many people to protest. There was a critical mass of about thirty that met at London Bridge, and tried to block the delegate's buses getting to the bridge. On the bridge itself there were some people in a police pen, whilst others were wandering up and down wondering what to do, and being moved on whenever they stopped for more than ten seconds (its an infringement of a bylaw apparently). 'climate or profit'

02.12.2005 10:02

My question while cycling past passers-by in the Square Mile was:
"What's more important: the climate or profit?"
To which I am pleased to report the findings were 75% climate, 25% profit. Those who answered 'profit' will be denied sandbags to keep the rising flooded Thames waters from their luxury riverfront homes, as they will naturally be able to use banknotes for the same purpose...
