Liz | 27.11.2005 20:58

Creative campaigning is a one-day workshop all about drawing attention to your message. It will be held on Sunday 15 January 2006 from 11 am to 4 pm (with lunch break) at The Place, 2a Melrose Street, Sherwood 9off Mansfield road behind the old bus depot. The price is £4 on the day

Actions, words, images.

In windows, on streets, in newspapers, creating banners, posters, displays masks, puppets, costumes. Devising stunts, staging stalls, playing pranks, painting, printing, projecting, making adverts, articles.

Performers and clowns Jeannie and Marion from StreetActs use colour and comedy with a purpose, bringing experience of street theatre, display costume and prop making.

Photographer Jeremy Jago examines quick ways to use lettering, graphics, pictures and construction to make your message stand out.

Writer Rochelle Wilson shares the secrets of getting your voice heard using press releases, articles, adverts and reports.

Creative campaigning offers you short cuts to compelling communication without huge amounts of money, skill or time.

It’s a fun day, informal but practical, and a chance to share experience and ideas, to find out how to make things, and to discuss your specific interests and needs.
