Thank you to everyone who turned up to protest on Friday outside the Cuban Embassy in protest against the continuing incaceration of political prisoners in Cuba.
Dr. Oscar Elias Biscet González has been chosen by us as the focus of our attention but we are campaigning for all those who have had the courage to stand up for their human rights in Cuba and are imprisioned for it.
During the demo Cuban secret police mixed with the protestors and tried to take covert pictures of those there but their Soviet era "spy" cameras failed to work and a good laugh was had by all as we watched them scuttle off to get them repaired. They were later seen at a window with a more modern SLR camera.
We intend to repeat the protest and hope to make it a regular event. Details will be posted closer to the time (and no doubt IMC editors will again attempt to hide the info for reasons best known to themselves)
This time there were around 40 of us, join us and watch the numbers grow.
Freedom for Cuba !
