Court case on friday morning
24.11.2005 20:27
A protest was held at the Scottish parliament around noon, but unfortunately i did not make it there in time, as it takes actually quite a while to Dalkeith (about an hour from the city centre away) and then a long walk through the park (which takes about another hour walk till getting there.)
There will be a court case tomorrow on Friday morning against the eviction notice. It starts 9.45 am at the Sheriff Court in Edinburgh.

Great treesitting action!
03.12.2005 16:27
I was delighted to see your great action pictures from your treesits! It warms my heart to know that other forest-lovers are out there in the world, doing what it takes to protect forests! To hell with all the quisling compromise-collaborationist corporate ENGOs working to protect their charitable status and funding commitment with the expectation that grass-roots volunteers should express their concern for nature by licking envelopes for funding appeals and fancy mail-out brochures. You'll never see these envirocrats out at the cutting edge front lines, where the destroyers meet the protectors!
Three Cheers, for your great action, and if you'd like a treesitting holiday in Canada, the two-year continuosly occupied Cathedral Grove treesitters would love your company! We have 8 platforms at 100 ft high in towering ancient Douglas fir forest, where the British Columbia government wants to put in a 150-slot pay-parking lot so fat-assed American tourists can park their Winnebozo's while looking at the big trees.

More trees felled - 14 Dec 2005
14.12.2005 17:52
Come and do something really useful during the christmas break, and sit up trees at wildlife rich Dalkeith Park, outside Edinburgh. This campaign is very winnable, and there is terrific local support.
This is really urgent and tomorrow maybe too late...
The Scottish Executive desperately want to feel these trees illegally, as there are bat roosts in them. This is their third attempt to fell, and they have been stopped each time, but with some losses... the camp NEEDS MORE PEOPLE... if you turn up you will really make a difference.
The Park is beautiful with loads of wildlife.
