You should be ashamed of yourselves

Sometimes I wonder about IM and the attitudes of those who run it. An action is called for a legitimate, important protest however because the action brings to wider knowledge the failings of the system in Cuba an excuse is found to hide it. There are many actions anounced here that don't contain a phone number or website link and for good reasons. With Cuba those who organise protest in the UK keep a low profile for good reasons, their lives are at threat ! Using that as an excuse is pathetic.

I urge those who object to people being locked up and tortuted because of their beliefs to join us outside the embassy, those who prefer to turn a blind eye to human rights abuses in Cuba can pretend Castro runs a paradise.

To those on IM I suggest you take a long, hard look at your attitudes and consider the needs of those in prison, would you want others to abandon you ?

Raul - You can thank the people who post up disinformation about protests for the extra vigilance to callouts without verifiable details. Recently we have had callouts to a meeting at a long closed social centre and a callout to a non-existent demo outside the MOD.

If you are seriously trying to get a demo going outside the Cuban Embassy, then you must have some form of support behind you. Feel free to contact the features list ( http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/listinfo/imc-uk-features) if you want to discuss the matter further.
