Sex arrest BNP man set to quit
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A BRITISH National Party boss has been arrested on suspicion of a sexual offence.
Andrew Kershaw, secretary and treasurer of the Yorkshire and Humber branch, was arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning at his home at Fieldhead Gardens, Dewsbury.
The high-ranking figure spearheaded the BNP's assault on the Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Batley seats during the General Election campaign earlier this year.
No BNP candidates were successful.
A spokesman for the BNP said: "Following an emergency disciplinary meeting of the full Kirklees BNP committee it was unanimously decided to suspend with immediate effect Andrew Kershaw and seek national authorisation to permanently expel him from the British National Party.
"These actions have been taken following details of his involvement in a serious matter coming to light."
But Mr Kershaw has today announced he is to quit the party.
The 43-year-old was released on bail by West Yorkshire police pending further inquiries into the allegation.
Heckmondwike councillor David Exley said: "Everyone is innocent until proven guilty.
"This issue is out of our hands now and has been passed on to the party nationally to deal with.
"They will act accordingly if and when Mr Kershaw appears in court."
The arrest is set to once again rock the far-right party only months after Huddersfield General Election candidate Karl Hanson was found guilty of possessing heroin and crack cocaine.
Just two days before the public went to the polls, the Examiner exclusively revealed Hanson had been arrested.
Yorkshire BNP organiser Nick Cass urged people not to vote for their candidate, who was later found guilty at Leeds Crown Court

Yesterday someone said magistrates were worse that the Nazis for sending a man to prison after he failed to pay a fine (and my post pointing out that this was nonsense was deleted); is the judge who jailed the BNP twonk also a war criminal, or is the law a good thing on this occassion?

The very impotence of the BNP and the limited extent of most paedophiles crimes makes them much more admirable neighbours than any Labour party member - who each have contributed to mass mutilation and destruction in Iraq.

And large scale non-heirarchial, self-regulating societies have functioned perfectly well since the dawn of time. Some of them even manage sewage and water systems - of course it does take longer as we can't rely on the forced concentration camp labour squads that the fascists always deploy.

BNP policy is abhorrent, but stick to destroying their policies and ideals, leave the personel attacks to others. Otherwise it only reveals your hypocrisy as Labour the lib-Dems and the Tories have had too many paedos, sex offenders, rapists, druggies and fraudsters to name, and you wouldnt want to be highlighting your quiet nonexistent response to these would you.

The question is NO! Is it because youare too scared, or is it because you secretly agree with them.
If you dont like Labour, why do you save all the violence for the BNP? Labour is in power, the BNP is insignificant.

Anarchists have always campaigned against the Labour Party, and at times their offices, electoral meetings, and MPs have been attacked. That said, individual Labour Party members do not go around beating up people because of the colour of their skin and/or sexuality in the way that fascists do, they do not terrorise corner-shop owners, or physically attack their political opponents. The reasons for confronting organised fascism should be obvious, and antifascists do not need to justify themselves to BNP apologists, the opinions of which are of no interest whatsoever to us.
