The complaint comes after a number of international organisations highlighted Tunisia's poor human rights record and questioned whether the country is a suitable location for a summit on the future of the internet. The summit, which started yesterday, has been designed to address crucial questions relating to global access to internet technology and information.

The police did not provide an official reason for their actions, according to the representative for the World Association for Community Radio Broadcasters and chairman of the Tunisian monitoring group, Steve Buckley, from Sheffield.
