Please, write a personal note or sign the appeal below asking for the immediate release of Dr. Elias Biscet.
Dear Foreign Minister Perez Roque,
Amnesty International reported on 29 February 2000 that "Dr. Oscar Elias Biscet González has been sentenced to three years imprisonment." Amnesty International is calling "for his immediate and unconditional release as a prisoner of conscience." According to Amnesty, "he was found guilty of "insult to the symbols of the homeland", "public disorder" and "incitement to commit a crime." Dr. Biscet, President of the Lawton Foundation for Human Rights was arrested on 3November 1999.
I am writing to ask you to please release Dr. Biscet and allow him to rejoin his family.

Would you please join us in appealing to the Cuban government to provide medical attention to Jorge Luis Garcia Perez, a Cuban political prisoner, whose case has been adopted by Amnesty International. We are also requesting that the Cuban government allow the International Committtee of the Red Cross to visit him.
