Exhibtion of Palestinian Children's Artwork

An exhibtion of Palestinian children's artwork in St John's Centre, Leeds. 14 - 27 November

As part of the Together for Peace festival, a small exhibition of Palestinian children's artwork will be showing in the St Johns Centre (in between McDonalds and the post office, of all places).

The art is from children in Jenin, which has been under Israeli occupation since 1967 and suffered a particularly brutal invasion in 2002. The pieces show the reality of daily life as a schoolchild in an occupied country - roadblocks, searches, tanks, shootings and funerals. Despite this, there are images of hope, humour and a yearning for peace.

From 14th - 27th November, unless customers of the St Johns Centre complain about it ruining their festive mood, or some nutty right-winger destroys it with a bulldozer.
