NSPM present Drums of Peace, a celebration of cultural diversity, to raise funds for Muslim Hands' humanitarian work for survivors of the Kashmir earthquake.
As part of the University's One World Week, Nottingham Student Peace Movement will be hosting an evening of international music and food, to celebrate the many cultures represented at the University and in the Nottingham community. Drums of Peace will take place on Mon 21st Nov from 7pm - 10pm, in the Portland Building, University Park.
Musical performers: Nottingham School of Samba, Wahaad (African drummers), Atoumo, Indian drummers, Malaysian drummers, Unique World with Sami Hauge (Afghanistan).
Food from: Afro-Caribbean, Hindu, Indian, Malaysian, Pakistani, Sudanese Nile & Turkish societies, and a women's group from the South Asian community centre in Radford.
Entry will cost £3, with all proceeds going to Muslim Hands' South Asia Earthquake Appeal ( http://www.muslimhands.org/). All welcome.
