Republican Insanity
An editorial
By Murdock Todd Cote (Doc)

I as a writer read and monitor the net and the papers to read of Republican and Far right insanity and misuse of the Government. The other day I found that the republican controlled senate violated a scared trust of the American people. It passed a bill cutting Medicare Medicaid and food stamps for the poor the disabled, the elderly. The vote was 57 to 47; I wrote a note to the house and senate leaders if they had lost what they had of their humanity. This is only just the beginning to many this would be an act of despicable inhumanity toward their own people. We elect leaders to watch over us in this republic we call the United States of America, yet the republican government now in power has lost its mind, there is fiscal responsibility and there is just plain cruelty which the are the Republican government answers to our problems here in our republic. They find money for war, for corruption, for hate and mistrust for inhumanity. Here in Maine there is a man forcing a referendum denying civil rights to people because of hate, mistrust and lies, just because they are different actually I am different.

The republican agenda is not for the poor, not for the low income, not for disabled or the mentally ill or the elderly. When a government does not care for its people and cuts programs to shred that help them to survive that government shall not stand. When it denies people the basic human rights of man, it shall not stand. Yes Abraham Lincoln was a Republican but he would not spill the blood of warriors of people with out just cause. In a time when they should increase funds for oil assistance for the poor, the low middle classes, the disabled and the poor, when they should be increasing food stamp funding for the poor, the elderly, the disabled the mentally ill and the low income yet he the usurper cut this program as he cuts others. Here he denies civil right to me and to others because of whom we choose to love be loved by, this out of hate, this out of fear this out of lies. Is our beloved republic to become a police state ruled by the Religious Zealots and the Republican Party bought and paid for by foreign governments and foreign oil? Or shall we cry out as one nation no more, here we desecrate law, favor my plan oh house gods of Ulysses who was carried up to heaven. He whom makes me thy enemy it is his fault… our most sacred of documents in our republic reads in bold large font “We the People” nigh we the rich, we the powerful, we the straight people, we the minorities; we the religious right. We the foreign governments, it means everyone the Lgbt community, included everyone; Mr. Heath the Hate monger from Portland executive director of the Christen Civic league of Maine and other groups as he says joined at the hip by hate and contempt for anyone different who does not share their values he Mr. Heath says the rainbow flag means something sick and perverted it does not. It means we are a nation of many colors, cultures, religions and so on. Come November elections a lot of republican neophyte will be looking for new jobs.

The republican national party does not see what is coming; a storm, as storm of freedom, justice equality, humanity and human rights for its entire citizen. Freedom has it roots in England and France from the ancient world documents of Law. Like the code of Hamurabi, the Magna Charta, the French articles of confederation, the American declaration of independence, the bill of rights; and our beloved constitution. The storm will shake the foundations of America and unite its people to restore what the Republican Party has stolen over many years hope, dignity and justice and human compassion. From Lexington and concord to times before and times to come all those who have bled and died for freedom call out shame on you, shame on your agenda have we died for nothing; our blood has enriched the grounds of Europe and our own nation.

We fought for freedom and the Rule of law, not the rule of Hate and mistrust. If needs be I call on all to join the warriors on the walls of the paradise we have fought and died for so long to defend freedom and the rule of law and help to drive back the night. I ask all in Maine to vote down the referendum of the hate and remove the republican cancer in November 2006 from our congress, from our Senate and from our White house. Restore here in a America the words of hope, and the rule of law which the cancer has circumvented in so many ways may the living God shine upon you and your families and help drive back the night and restore right from so many wrongs.
