AUSTRALIA: There have been a series of counter-terrorism raids in New South Wales and Victoria.

New South Wales Police Commissioner Moroney says more than 400 police officers have been involved in raids on 15 homes in south-western Sydney.

He says they have arrested six men alleged to be planning a terrorist attack in Australia.

"They're currently being interviewed by police and my expectation is that they will appear in Sydney courts this morning," he said.

So what is to show for it? Based on what evidence? I know it's a secret!

Nine arrests have been made in raids in Melbourne.

Commissioner Moroney says a terrorist attack has been foiled.

"I am satisfied that we have disrupted what I would regard as the final stages of a terrorist attack or the launch of a terrorist attack in Australia," he said.

Are you satisfied truthseeker? Well I'm not this is just another public relations exercise that no one can prove. But trust us we know best?

When I see evidence that's when I will believe Maroney the Phony.

Australia's 'Anti-Terrorism' Bill: the framework for a police state

Statement of the Socialist Equality Party (Australia)

Over the past month, Prime Minister John Howard and the six Australian state premiers and two territory chief ministers have joined hands to draft draconian new laws that will erect the juridical scaffolding for a police-state. The Anti-Terrorism Bill 2005 is unprecedented in both its content and in the conspiratorial methods that have been employed to push it through the state and federal parliaments.

The real reason behind the push for a "Police State"

SUMMARY OF THE REAL NEWS

Bankers become billionaires by signing pieces of paper for a living, paper rich managers asset strip factories and sack skilled workers just so they can run away with millions of dollars and retire young at the expense of destroying communities and jobs, real estate brokers buy and sell properties (sometimes on the same day) just to make $25000 to $50000 profits in one day or even within a week.

Good grief...

If, after a fair and open trial before a jury of their peers, the people arrested today are convicted of plotting to kill hundreds of people, will you admit that the police get it right sometimes? Or will that just be further proof that the system is corrupt, because the only time the courts are right is when they either clear someone you do like or convict someone you don't?

And it's not keeping "the real news" out of the papers — if you bothered to read the evil corporate mainstream media (you know, the one that employs all those evil corporate mainstream NUJ members, the same NUJ that donated loads of cash to Indymedia to help fund a computer centre during the G8 protests) you'd see that BP making obscene amounts of money and Phillip Green handing his wife billions of pounds in a tax dodge are routinely criticised on the front, business and comment pages.

'no target',' 'no place' and no time'
'no target',' 'no place' and no time'

Good grief all right,

If, after going 'fishing' police did not find something, especially if they raided everyone's home then they must be daft.

The alleged suspects that were apparently preparing for a terrorist act at 'no target',' 'no place' and no time' will never get a fair and open trial under draconian Ant-Terrorism laws. Now they have to prove they're innocent, that's fair?

Those killing hundreds of people are the 'Coalition of the Killing' who are not taken to trial.

The very same people making accusations and raiding innocent people's homes.
